The Goal - Make a Big Impact!!

We love products that make a donation to charity because they are doing something to make a difference when they don't have to.  I spent more than 10 years in corporate America running businesses that sometimes made these types of donations to different organizations.  The business goal was to increase sales since our brands would be seen in a better light by the consumers comparing similar products.  However, I was consistently surprised at how little was donated to charity as a percentage. 

As we began our own business, we decided that we wanted to be charitable with the money the business made but we wanted to be different.  We wanted to make a significant donation to charity and increase the percentages we donate to charity as more people help us sell more because it will take everyone's help to make these efforts successful.  While most brands donate 5% or less to charity, our plan is to donate up to 50% of profits to charity!  The other way we wanted to be different is to create an easy way to make a bigger impact and donate 100% directly to the charity we support; just click this link: Kokolulu Farm & Cancer Retreats. 

As we have explained our plans to some friends, they asked how much of a difference will resulting donations be compared to other products.  As we thought about this, we quickly realized the best way to communicate the difference is through a table and we've included that here - you can see the huge difference in donations compared to other brands in our examples:
